Mummydogs formed in northern California several times between 1996 and 2000. They named themselves after the frankfurters that go round and round at the mini-market and are never purchased. Mummydogs developed a grungy melodic pop sound laced with maracas and feedback. Paul Takushi (drums) and Cary Rodda (bass) build a corral for Guy Kyser's overheated acoustic guitar and Johanna Kyser's rumbling keyboard. Mummydogs include former members of THIN WHITE ROPE, CHANCE THE GARDENER, BEATRICE 9, JEM AND SCOUT, and THORNUCOPIA.
